Located near the New Martinsville Hydroelectric Plant, Hydro Park is one of the best fishing spots in New Martinsville. Turbulant water adjacent to more calm pools of water create a range of areas for fish to hang out. The large concrete piers and walkways are rough concrete for good traction in virtually any weather, and they stretch out into deep water where the monster fish like to lay low. Hydro Park also features a fish cleaning station, small shelter, picnic benches, park benches and a recreation area. Just North of the Hydroelectric Plant there is a recreation area and a medium picnic shelter.
